Description of the house
Quinta da Madrugada: quinta of the dawn. The name already indicates the special feature of this house. From early morning till late in the evening it?s lovely to relax on the sunny terraces in front of the house. It?s a place of tranquillity and privacy, without the sense of total isolation.
The Dutch owners also live on the same plot of land at a distance of 100 metres.
Quinta da Madrugada is on a perfect location: rurally but not too far from sea.
As a starting point for tours in the south western part of the Algarve, the house is in a central position.
Surroundings of Quinta da Madrugada
The closest village is Odiáxere at 2km distance. It has many restaurants where you can still enjoy Portuguese dishes at a small price. You can do your daily shopping in one of the small supermarkets.
In the friendly town of Lagos is a larger supermarket and a miles long sandy beach. There?s more hustle and bustle in the town of Portimão with its port and the adjoining tourist centre of Praia da Rocha, at a distance of 20 minutes by car.
It?s a 30 minute drive to the west coast of the Algarve, Alentejo or to the south coast west of Lagos with its small beaches and fishing villages. Of course you?ll want to visit Europe?s most south western point, the Cabo de São Vincente. Another great tour is to the Monchique mountain range via the reservoir of Barrage de Bravura. The picturesque town of Lagos with its miles long sandy beach is still a friendly and convivial place.
Layout
All rooms are on one floor. Living room with fully equipped kitchen.
Two bedrooms with a double bed each (180x200 cm). Bathroom with rub, shower, washbasin and toilet.
